Hennie and Amoret proved that COVID-19 could not prevent their dream wedding for very long in this magnificent end-of-lockdown Spanish villa wedding.

They discovered that by making the best of the situation, they could immortalise their wedding day at the Lagoon Suites in Walvis Bay rather than waiting forever for a change in the rules.

So, despite the cold ocean winds that were present on the day, Amoret and Hennie, their incredible team of helpers, and a wide variety of other talented vendors pulled off the dream wedding.

THE STYLE

Amoret and Hennie chose the Lagoon Suites, located in the coastal town of Walvis Bay in Namibia. It’s easy to see why this was their venue of choice—they rented the whole villa for the wedding day, which gave them ample time to enjoy this private space, the garden, and the pool. In fact, this villa has always been known for attracting a few international travellers to this small harbour town.

With its rustic air, well-kept gardens and walking distance from the lagoon, and the privacy of it all, this villa made for a breathtaking wedding location, regardless of lockdown.

The couple dressed in style and elegance, and the wedding guests did not fail to impress either! Amoret had a stunning wedding dress, which led her father to tears when he saw her for the very first time in her dress.

The groom was comfortable in his suit and jacket, matching beautifully with his bride.

Since the couple had a smaller wedding with a few close family and friends, it made for a warm atmosphere where everyone enjoyed themselves until late that evening.

THE COLOURS

Naturally, the characteristic style of the villa was considered when deciding upon this colour scheme. The natural colours of the garden and the villa’s interior decoration were assessed, and the predominant autumn colours were picked out.  It made for the perfect fusion of a romantic vibe that fitted beautifully with the season. These vibrant details were designed to highlight the personality of the couple, and create an artful, sentimental ceremony.

I have added a few highlights from their wedding. I know you will love these photos!

The Groom:

Hennie and the guys all got ready in the upstairs lounge area with some quality whiskey and a few cigars rounded off their preparation time!

Couple Session in the Dunes:

Even if the day was overcast, cold, and windy, these two braved the weather to get some epic couple photos! We started with some stylish photos in the villa itself, then braved the windy weather in the sand dunes. It paid off!
